1. About these terms

These Terms and Conditions apply when you use the Caviar Culinary Arts School website or register for any of our courses. By ticking the box on our enrollment form or making a payment, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not register. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

2. Registering

• You must give accurate, complete and truthful information.
• Applicants under 18 must register with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian.
• You can register once per course and batch with the same email address.
• Your place is only confirmed once we have received and verified your payment and told you so.

3. Courses, branches and batches

Course details, durations, schedules and prices are shown on our website. Some courses are not available at every branch, and this is shown on the enrollment form.

We run courses in batches. We may change a start date, merge or reschedule a batch, or change a classroom or instructor where necessary. If we cancel a batch, we will offer you a place in the next batch or a refund of what you paid.

4. Fees and payment

• A standard, non-refundable registration fee of ₦20,000 is required to initiate formal processing and the tuition fee for your course are shown on the enrollment form before you pay. All amounts are in Nigerian naira (₦).
• Full payment: you pay the registration fee plus the full tuition.
• Instalment option: you pay the registration fee and the first deposit through the website. The balance is paid directly to the school. Students on installment plans must adhere to agreed payment deadlines. Failure to settle tuition balances prior to designated practical exam phases or graduation may result in suspension from classes or withholding of certifications.
• Online payments are processed by Paystack and are also subject to Paystack's own terms.
• Bank transfer: you must upload a clear receipt. We will verify the payment and email you the result. We may reject a transfer we cannot match to our account, for example because of a wrong amount or an unclear receipt, and you may then submit again with the correct details.
• Please check our account details carefully. We are not responsible for transfers sent to the wrong account.
• Fees you have paid for a confirmed place will not increase. Our published fees for future batches may change.
• Registration fees are strictly non-refundable once administrative processing has commenced. Tuition refunds requested prior to the official batch start date may be considered on a case-by-case basis at management's sole discretion.

5. Accommodation

Student accommodation is optional, subject to availability, and charged separately at the rate for your branch. It is arranged directly with the school and is not part of the online payment. Students occupying Caviar-arranged accommodations must adhere to facility conduct codes, safety guidelines, and curfew policies. Damage to facility property will attract repair or caution fee deductions.

6. What we provide

Chef uniforms and the ingredients for practical training are provided by the school, as described on our website.

7. Withdrawals, cancellations and refunds

• The registration fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.
• If we cancel your batch, you may move to the next batch or receive a full refund of what you paid.

8. Attendance, conduct, hygiene and safety

Working in a kitchen has risks. You agree to follow our instructors' safety and food-hygiene instructions, wear the required uniform, and treat staff and other students with respect.

• Regular attendance is expected.
• We may suspend or remove a student for serious misconduct, unsafe behaviour or non-payment.
• Please tell us in advance about any allergy or medical condition we should know about for kitchen work.

9. Certificates

Certificates are issued to students who complete the course, meet the attendance and assessment requirements, and have paid all fees. We do not promise any particular job or income after a course.

10. Photos and recordings

We may take photos or videos during classes and events and use them on our website and social media. If you do not want to appear, tell us in writing and we will respect that where we reasonably can.

11. Intellectual property

Our course materials, recipes, videos and website content belong to the school or its licensors. You may use them for your own learning and professional practice, but you may not copy, sell, publish or record our materials or classes for distribution without our written permission.

12. Using our website

You agree not to misuse the website, for example by submitting false registrations, trying to gain unauthorised access, or sending automated or abusive requests. We may block access or cancel a registration if we suspect misuse. We work to keep the website accurate and available, but we do not promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

13. Our responsibility

We take care to provide our courses with reasonable skill. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of or damage to your personal belongings. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

14. Privacy

How we handle your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version you accepted when you registered continues to apply to that registration. Updated terms apply to new registrations.
